Space Jet #1 On Sale @ Vancouver Comic Con - August 28th
Be on the look-out for THIS book. (the one below) It is the print edition of Space Jet, including new and old content, terrific pin-ups from Gabriel Frizzera and Rob Jones, and a jam comic by myself and Robin Bougie. Pick it up this Sunday, Aug 28th at the Comix & Stories Vancouver Comic Con at Heritage Hall on Main & 15th. Other guests include Gabriel Frizzera, Steve Rolston, Robin Bougie, Ed Brisson, Marc Bell and Shannon Wheeler - the creator of Too Much Coffee Man! His was the first indie comic I ever read.

Pinky Blues part 36
THE FINAL Pinky Blues is here. Part thirty-six represents the end of this tale, I hope you've enjoyed it. I hope it's wrapped all the loose ends. I'd love feedback about what you thought of the story.
Anyway, the story is presented in it's entirety in the Space Jet print edition on sale this Sunday at the Vancouver Comic Con at Heritage Hall on Main & 15th. It reads much better as a whole story than in vignettes, I think.

Pinky Blues part 34
2 parts left!
I saw a movie called Me and You and Everyone We Know tonight, and it was really really good. Super quirky. Loved it, seek it out. Here's the trailer.
I also saw The Aristocrats recently. Check it out, hilarious. Here's that trailer.

Pinky Blues part 30
YEAH! Part thirty! K, this is the BIG wedding one so it's dedicated to Carl and Brenda, who, after something like 10 years, are exchanging vows this here Saturday.
They were kind enough to invite my girlfriend and I, so I'm kind enough to dedicate this to them. If you're in the neighbourhood, you'll be able to spot LeeAnn and I in the crowd by looking for the sexiest bitches around. That'll be us.
Congratulations Carl & Brenda!

Also, check out this site for a cartoon called 8 Guys in the Head, being made by some of my friends, including the aforementioned Carl Upsdell, Ryan Morris, and pretty much the entire Affolter clan.

Pinky Blues part 29
Wow... next episode is part THIRTY. That's just crazy. This week is killing me but this weekend is gonna be good.
Sure helps to watch one of my favorite comedians, Conan O'Brien, on Larry King Live while I work though. It's great. (Guest-hosted by Bob Costas, who is always awesome) I liked it so much that I gotta share, so here's a link to the torrent. You should check it out.

Funnies that aren't Funny
Take a good look now, I'm redrawing Pinky Blues part 25, I hate it so much it's given me artist block. Much the way part 18 had bothered me. But to fill in the gap of time that I haven't been posting, here is a strip that was originally scheduled to only be in the print version of Space Jet.

Pinky Blues part none part 2
I hit the quarter hundred mark. The art unfortunately isn't quite as impressive as the number. But whatever, here's the death-centric installment.
EDIT: Look above a couple to see the real part 25. I hated this one and redid it.

Pinky Blues part 24
Heeeere we go. We're nearing the home stretch here. Really trying to get this done this week. Might not post it all this week, but fingers crossed I finish it. Working on the cover for the print version of Space Jet comics right now. I can tell you right now it's heavily using elements from my portfolio website. But it's still different. Now please enjoy part twenty-four. (coincidentally my age. gimme presents.)

a sketch pour vous
Did this at one of the Draw Jams about 2 or 3 months ago, but inked it just this week. For a sketch blog, Space Jet has been very comic-centric, so I thought I'd mix it up and throw on another drawing. Hope ya like it.

When Singing is Not Enough for the Blues
This is a pic I did in Illustrator for a 2 page magazine spread I have to do for editorial design class based on a very poorly written article entitled "When Singing is Not Enough for the Blues: other ways of dealing with depression". It's just terrible. Reads like it was written by a pretentious, talentless 9th grade over-achiever.
Anyway, hope you like the drawing. I went for a very simplified graphic look, inspired in part by my idols from UPA.

More Space Jet Funnies
More Pinky Blues is coming, but I was satisfying my desire to do something else, so I hope you enjoy. Did a couple other Funnies, but I think I'll save them for the print edition of Space Jet. (available Aug. 28, 2005 @ Vancouver Comic Con)

I went to March of the Penguins, with my girlfriend yesterday by the way. I highly recommend it. Absolutely amazing, and damn if them penguins aren't one of the cutest critters on Earth.

Pinky Blues part 22
I have to finish this very soon. But I hope the rising tension is creating tension in an upward... rising-like manner.

Pinky Blues part 20
Yay! Part twenty! I have to speed this along here, I need it finished in time to put my comic together for the Comic Con at Heritage Hall here in Vancouver for August 28th, where I'll be selling my wares. Much of it available here, but there will be new unseen content as well. I will be sharing my half table with my good friend Gabriel Frizzera, who will also be selling his own comic. I've seen most of it, it's amazing, you'll shit with envy. Hope to see you there.
